As clinicians working
in South East London, we’re seeing more and more people with cancer who have
wider issues that can't always be solved with clinical treatments. For example,
we might see people who have been experiencing loneliness or practical worries.
Social prescribing is a valuable way for us to support these patients to manage
their needs in the most appropriate way for them. In this short resource we'll
explore how social prescribing can benefit both cancer patients and staff, what
it involves and how it works.
Welcome to this
course on non-metastatic Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer (nmCRPC). The
aims of this course are: to understand where nmCRPC fits into the prostate
cancer landscape; to discuss the evidence supporting the latest management
options in this setting; and to look at the practicalities of prescribing and
supervising these treatments.
