Social prescribing for people with cancer
As clinicians working
in South East London, we’re seeing more and more people with cancer who have
wider issues that can't always be solved with clinical treatments. For example,
we might see people who have been experiencing loneliness or practical worries.
Social prescribing is a valuable way for us to support these patients to manage
their needs in the most appropriate way for them. In this short resource we'll
explore how social prescribing can benefit both cancer patients and staff, what
it involves and how it works.
