About the Course 

The aim of this module is to introduce you to the concept of health inequalities and health inequity. It will highlight the unequal health outcomes experienced by people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cover some practical ideas and considerations for how to tackle health inequality for staff working with kidney patients. 

By participating and completing the course you will:

• Develop an understanding and awareness of health inequalities experienced by people living with CKD
• Gain an understanding of what you can do in your role to support patients and help reduce inequity
• Gain a basic understanding of health and digital literacy and how this can impact on health outcomes
• Be aware of helpful resources that you can 'signpost' patients and colleagues too.
